Advertising and content performance reporting by Georges Media Group
Georges Media Tools is the reporting and operations application of Georges Media Group — publisher of The Advocate, NOLA.com, The Acadiana Advocate, and The Shreveport-Bossier Advocate. Its purpose is to measure how the advertising campaigns we run for our clients perform, and to turn those measurements into the monthly performance reports we deliver back to each client.
What the app does
- Collects campaign results. Each night the app's reporting engine, Merry Reporting, gathers delivery and performance figures — impressions, clicks, video views, website visits, and conversions — from the advertising and analytics platforms a client's campaign runs on.
- Builds client reports. It combines those figures into a single performance report for each advertiser, showing what ran, what it delivered, and how visitors responded on the client's website.
- Supports our media team. Companion tools help our staff prepare proposals, monitor campaign pacing, and track service requests.
How the app uses Google data
The app requests read-only access to two kinds of Google data:
- Google Analytics. Advertising clients grant our analytics Google account viewing access to their Google Analytics property. The app signs in as that account and reads aggregate website metrics — sessions, users, key events, traffic channels, landing pages, and city-level geography — so a client's report can show how its campaign drove visits to its website.
- YouTube Analytics. The app reads viewing metrics for Georges Media Group's own YouTube channels to report on sponsored video content.
The app never changes, writes to, or deletes anything in a Google account. Each client's data is used only to produce that client's own reports; it is never sold and never used for advertising targeting.
Who uses it
The reports are produced for our advertising clients. The application itself is operated by Georges Media Group's media and reporting staff.

Our Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, stored, shared, and deleted, and how to revoke access. Use of the app is governed by our Terms of Service.
